DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE: http://goo.gl/forms/fGq4vSqIA8 \nClimate Justice Program welcomes you to our last training in Stockholm before Ende Gelände in May – a space for anybody who wants to articulate and develop your own engagement for climate justice. No previous experience is necessary\, although all experience levels are very welcome! \nThis May there is a global wave of actions targeting the infrastructure that was made obsolete by the Paris agreement. http://breakfree2016.org/ \nOur closest action will be in Lusatia\, near Berlin\, Germany – where Europe’s biggest coal mine is owned by Vattenfall. Sweden is trying to sell off the coal assets\, which would be the biggest ever sale of coal in Europe. Keeping this coal in t…he ground is the greatest opportunity for Sweden to contribute to the fight against climate change. \nFor the Swedish environmental movement\, for us as human beings: This is the big one. \nThis May\, we will take action in and around this coal mine. There will be legally authorized demonstration and a huge act of peaceful civil disobedience. This action will be called “Ende Gelände” which roughly translates to “Here and no further”. \nFor more details of the action:\nhttps://www.ende-gelaende.org/en/ \nThis training will give you the essential skills and knowledge you need to participate in mass actions like Ende Gelände. \nOn Saturday we will explore our motivations\, creativity and abilities to make the climate justice movement as powerful as possible\, especially for the momentum in Sweden. \nOn Sunday\, shit gets real. DESCRIPTION:På ABF Stockholms Samling för antirasism lördag 9 april 2016 kl 12 – 16 har Klimataktion Stockholm arrangerat ett seminarium om klimatflyktingar med Shora Esmailian. \nKlimatflyktingar – vår tids flyktingar \n60 miljoner människor befinner sig på flykt i dag\, fler än någonsin sedan andra världskriget. En stor del av dem som flyr gör det på grund av klimat- och väderrelaterade händelser. Vare sig de flytt katastrofer i den rika delen av världen eller i den fattiga\, oavsett om de har korsat en nationsgräns eller ej – är de facto klimatflyktingar. Trots att de saknar juridiskt erkännande är vår tids nya flyktingar klimatflyktingar. Medan den rika delen av världen fortsätter utsläppen drabbas fattiga i världens periferi – en logik som kommer att fortsätta trots Parisavtalet. Dessutom stänger Europa alla vägar som finns för människor på flykt. \nJournalisten och författaren Shora Esmailian skildrar 2010-talets klimatflyktingar. Med nedslag i Pakistan\, Egypten och Kenya möter vi individer som redan rör sig i en allt varmare värld. Hon visar bilder och talar utifrån den första och hittills enda boken på svenska om klimatflyktingar ”Ur askan – om människor på flykt i en varmare värld”.
