Meet the movement: parenting with our children’s future in focus

As we look at reports of climate breakdown around the world – and look ahead to what is coming, thinking about impacts in terms of the lifetimes of our children can be devastating.

Parents and caring adults across the generations have always wanted to secure a good future for the children we love. In these tumultuous times, many parents around the world are recognising that in order to give children the future we want for them, working to make change happen in our societies is something we need to integrate into our parenting and our work.

In two special calls, we will hear from parents and climate activists from Brazil, Nigeria, Germany, India, UK, Israel, Poland, USA and Australia – why did they as parents and caring aunts/uncles/adults feel they needed to engage in climate activism? And what does ’being a climate activist’ look like in their communities and in their lives?

We will hear from people from a wide range of professional backgrounds who have found ways to stand up for all our children’s futures: through protest, creative actions, political engagement and community organising.
